Everything you need to know before you land

Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out directly and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Ask us directly →
What languages do you work in? +
Catalan, Spanish, and English natively. French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Japanese through our trusted partner network.
How much does a fixer cost in Barcelona? +
Day rates run between €350 and €550 depending on scope and crew size. A written quote is always provided before any commitment.
Can you work with us remotely before we arrive? +
Yes. Research, source development, permit applications, and logistics planning can all start weeks before your arrival in Barcelona.
Do you cover events like MWC or Sónar? +
Yes — book well in advance as these fill quickly. We have established contacts and accreditation experience at MWC, Primavera Sound, Sónar, and Circuit de Catalunya.
How quickly can you mobilize for breaking news? +
1–2 hours anywhere in Barcelona, same day anywhere in Catalonia. Active clients have access to a 24/7 direct line.
Can you access political sources and institutional interviews? +
Yes. We manage interview requests with sources across all political parties and at every level — municipal, regional (Generalitat de Catalunya) and national. Years of journalism work in Barcelona means we have direct lines to political press offices, think tanks, and institutional spokespeople that take weeks for outsiders to establish.
Which events can you get press accreditations for? +
We handle accreditations for a wide range of sports, music, cultural, and business events — including FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol and Girona FC matches, Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, Mobile World Congress, Primavera Sound, Sónar, Festival de Pedralbes, Palau de la Música, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and many more. For major events, book at least 4–6 weeks in advance.
Do you work remotely as well as on the ground? +
Both. Pre-production — research, source vetting, permit applications, recce coordination — happens remotely before you travel. Once you land, we are with you on the ground: accompanying crews to interviews, handling logistics in real time, and solving problems as they arise. Most clients use us across both phases.
Why choose Fixer Barcelona over other fixers? +
Because we are working journalists ourselves — not production assistants or tour guides. With over 20 years of combined newsroom experience in Barcelona, we understand exactly what international media needs and how to get it. We know which sources open doors, which locations require permits, and how to turn a brief into the best possible story for your outlet.
Can you obtain filming permits in Barcelona? +
Yes. We manage the full filming permits process in Barcelona — from Barcelona City Council (Institut Municipal del Paisatge Urbà) to the Generalitat de Catalunya, private venues, and public institutions. This includes permits for iconic locations such as Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Camp Nou, and Las Ramblas, as well as access to hospitals, courts, and government buildings where standard crews cannot film.
